I know everyone likes to bash Honda, but they don't just "copy others". They didn't copy the dual clutch transmission. You may not like the DN-01, but that wasn't a copy. The CBR 1000 does not look like any other liter superbike. And they're racking up points in MotoGP. There are other examples I could mention, but it isn't necessary.

It would be nice if Honda chose another manufacturer to copy. Ducati would be a fine choice on the street, KTM for the dirt, particularly in the underserved "serious dual sport" and enduro realm that is pretty much owned by KTM right now.

Bikes like this put me to sleep better than a fistful of melatonin tabs. That makes for freaky acid trip dreams though, unlike this plain vanilla late to the party "me too" Honda...
Yeah, like Trent, I think Honda sometimes gets undeserved bashing. Although the pro-street cruiser is nothing new, no other major OEM builds one. Ugly tank seam? Yes. Too much plastic? Yes. A me-too design? Not really.

Sure it is. There's the CB1000 that is supposed to be competition for the Bandit1250 except that it's 1000cc, much less power and costs a shytload more. Oh yeah and there's the Dullsville, another late to the party Adventure Tourer that's only 680cc and costs like $11K. Racking up points in MotoGP isn't all that hard when your racing budget is a magnitude larger than the others.

Yes, the DN-01 is different, though it's the sort of thing one would expect from a motorcycle company that is run by a corporate committee of Automobile executives.

Actually, the 2011 CB1000R has more hp and costs less than the 2011 Suzuki GSX1250FA...
