The pricing is odd. Are those figures correct?
The Japanese should do this. Take the new fuel injected WR450 and map/catalyze it to pass emissions and make it street legal with the same good suspension, etc, as the off road model. KTM has been doing it for awhile now. The point is not to ride it down the freeway or commute on it, but to let a rider connect trails and do short road sections a needed. I have a Husaberg FE450 with a plate on it. Bless Colorado and it lax licensing procedure. It is a joy to be able to literally go anywhere! |

Wow, neat stuff. And I'm sure the Husky line of four strikers won't need a leakdown test in ten hours, and a $3,000.00 top end job.
Look for a direct injected two stroke in the near future, that gets better mileage and puts out less emissions. Husky did it before with the TE510, stuck a 510cc four stroke top end on a 400 two stroke lower end, and ran a pint of oil in the cam case with two reed valves for oiling. That was some machine, and won BtoV one year me thinks... Nice they still make a two stroke for the tiddler class. BMW did it right this time, unlike the Italians.
