I put Progressive shocks in back and springs up front on my '77 Low Rider. Made a huge difference. Of course I was replacing the OEM parts that were 15+ years old, so there was a lot of room for improvement.

Now put a set of 18" spoked alloy rims with 120 tires front and back, and you'll really be cooking with gas!

Hard rubber sidestand extension.

Eh, I've never really liked bicycle wheels. And my riding style is less Valentino Rossi and more Pee Wee Herman. The stock set-up works fine for me.

I've got a hundred miles on the new shocks now and it's night and day. Unfortunately, now I can feel how crappy the front end is. Too bad changing the front springs isn't as easy. I envision launching the fork caps into my eye. Or my neighbor's roof.

I thought you were in to the Cafe thing. Can't be "cafe cool" with wide tires!

It's more like a hybrid cafe/bobber. I make my own style. Like Pee Wee Herman.

Ken, there are things about me you wouldn't know. Things you couldn't know. Things you shouldn't know.

Things which, should you learn them, would change your life forever. You might even vote Republican
