hi I have a Yamaha xvs1100. it starts but doesn't run.
Tested fuel pump - okay Tested fuel filter - okay Tested coils - okay Can not see spark when holding the spark plugs to the body Motorcycle was on the rain alot. Can you please assist me to get my bike running. Many thanks in advance, Alex |

Are you saying it starts and then dies immediately?
If you did the spark plug test correctly, and had their bodies well-grounded to bare metal and you have no spark, then that's clearly a huge problem. There's a low-voltage circuit and a high-voltage circuit; basically there's the battery, a coil, and then the plug wires. Have you got a manual? The manufacturers put a test routine in their books to tell you what voltage should be a which connector to test the system. Can't help you with your specific bike, but if you follow the plug wires back to their source, the coil is usually where they end. Any ideas ER2?
