Dude, that's totally wrong. Threadjacking a guy's thread when he's just trying to get some advice. Especially if it's spamming something...

Hey, have you listened to my podcast?

Good Lord, there are so many meth labs, such high concentrations of toxins, that they need a fund just for the cops who get sick from busting them?

Thomas Jefferson wrote that the 1st Amendment erected a "wall of separation" between the church and the state (James Madison said it "drew a line," but it is Jefferson's term that sticks with us today). The phrase is commonly thought to mean that the government should not establish, support, or otherwise involve itself in any religion.

Its.......A FACT!

I dunno about the "gettin' sick" part - but there's a shatzload of 'em in Missouri.......

(there's been 3 busted less than a mile from my house - and I used to live in a compound in the middle of Pakistan, MO)

The local and State governments need to promote powder-cocaine use. All the dangerous processing is done overseas. It's also a lot easier on the user's teeth and complexions, which could reduce public healthcare costs. A few well-placed ads, some minor subsidies, they'd be rolling.

Speaking of rolling: why not promote Ecstacy as a sensible alternative to alcohol? No drunk driving, no work lost due to hangovers.

Geez, do I have to think of everything?

From the peripheral stuff I see, the homebrew meth labs are huge toxic dumps that are really dangerous for the people who man them and the people who bust and clean up after them. It's a big enough problem that its part of what you look for when you go to buy a house and get the inspection done. Bad bad news.

Oh nice. I used to eat lunch at that rib city when I worked down there at the State office. I was a bit bummed that they closed the one up in Sandy off Highland. Nothing special but was close and decent eats.

I read or saw a teevee report that one state is just burning down the houses that have meth labs rather than try to clean them up. You'd think that the burning process would release chemicals into the air, but maybe they aren't as bad if they combust.

I blame AMC and their teevee show that glorified the chemistry professor who cooked up meth.

Well, I would too - except all the labs have been busted before AMC writers ever put pen to Breaking Bad script....
