I'd love to own a Gixxer 750 some day.

On a side note, I wonder where this stacks up on the KPPI.

Interesting comment about spinning mass in the crank affecting handling. This is very apparent in dirt bikes. The 500cc 2 strokes did not weigh much more than the 250s, but they steered a lot heavier due to the heavy spinning crank. I learned to lug the 500 at low rpm in the tight stuff so it would steer (kind of need to anyway, as a revving 500 2 stroke is, um, hard to hold onto!) and spin it in the fast bits, where the stability is a benefit.

I do the same thing on my FZ1. Midrange revs in the tight stuff so I can toss it around, rev the socks off it in the fast sweepers. A lot of the time this can be done in 1, maybe 2 gears. Liter class sportish bikes do have their attractions. Twist the loud handle and just steer it baby, surf the deep power reserves, no bothersome shifting required

To my sensibilities, the 750 is the Goldilocks all around inline 4 sport bike. Beefier than a revvy 600, more nimble and manageable than a 1000. Perfect in other words.

Yamaha, take a clue from this GSXR here and design the FZ8 accordingly. Let's quit screwing around and get seriously real. That would be a crazy fun bike.

I've owned a few years of this bike and everything about what is said about this bike is true. Its just sad to see no other manufacture chasing the 750 class.

Any bike that holds-onto a solid "100" for the KPPI for 6 years straight is a Winner in anybody's book!

I got to ride this bike at Daytona last week. I had just ridden an R1, and I can't believe how different they are. The R1 just didn't feel "right" to me; it's hard to put it in words. But the GSXR felt like I'd been riding it for years after the first mile or two.
