I liked Avon Venom on my HD. As SGF said, they wear fast, but they're super-sticky, especially in the rain, which we get a lot of here. Tires are cheaper than crutches...

The tires on my BMW finally look like racing slicks. I've got the Metzler Road Tech Z6.

I got 8000 miles out of em so I'm not complaining.

Can't wait to feel the handling with tires that aren't square again!

I've got almost 200,000 km on my FZ1 so have had a chance to try out lots of tires. Granted my bike/tires will be a little different than yours.

My best longevity experience has been with Metzlers Roadtec Z6; The Michelin Pilot Road II's have been good and extend my season as they're better in the cold - but don't last nearly as long. Dunlops were great performers but didn't last.

mine charges $45 labor to mount their own tire
