2009 Yamaha R6 scam or legit
Alright I have been trying to figure out if this whole deal is a scam or a legit deal. Supposedly this guy is leaving for Iraq in 10 days or so and is trying to get rid of his bike quickly before he leaves. Its basically a new 2009 R6 with 856 miles on it and he wants $3800 for it. He started a transaction through motorcycle.com and they said to do a moneygram for a secure deal. I also got an email from motorcycle.com that he put down a $6000 deposit in case I wanted a refund. Is this a damn good scam or a hell of a deal?

Scam. If he had $6K to spare why dump the bike for $3800.

no one sells a bike for half the value without it being stolen or broken. just b/c he's going on tour for 1 yr to 18 mos doesn't mean squat. i insure 300 or so serveice members and in 11 yrs only two sold their bikes believing the worst.
stay away from this deal.
