I imagine worthy riders would come up through their own ranks, and survive to make the singular race. And like in boxing, and pay-per-view events that sometimes lasts only minutes, its totally possible to bring HUGE money if marketed correctly...

When is bringing a gun to a knife fight a level playing field?
 
Many of the rules in the current race series' are there to actually create the level playing field... as controversial as it might be year to year. Once someone shows up with a nitrous-laden Bumpy, Matt's Jawa is sure to be beat. A new level is born. Should take about 3 minutes to weed out the applicants since many privateer racers don't have celebrity money (or riders) to throw at their motorcycles.

But power to the guy for proposing change!
