Looks like rolling junk. 3 grand isn't what it used to be either, evidently. :(

Rolling junk? Not quite; Kymco builds quality machines.

Well, it definitely falls short in a couple of areas, but there ain't much out there for $3K unless you hit the pre-owned market.

Hate to nitpick, but that doesn't look like a "double cradle steel frame" to me. It looks like a modern permiter frame with the engine as a stressed member.

Or maybe those big flat bars along the flanks are just plastic styling junk?

I'd say you'd be well ahead buying any number of used and vastly superior bikes with your $3K than this dolled-up Chinese scooter.

Taiwan is not "China". Kymco is building some pretty good stuff. Don't confuse them with the child murders on the mainland.

300 lbs for a bike putting out 14 feeble noisy horses? That's insane! It's amazing it even moves under it's own power...

My old CB100 put out around 8 horsepower and weighed around 180 lbs. It would kick this bikes ass in every category. What has happened to trying to manufacture a light weight motorcycle?
