Nice review, Tor. That thing is a F-Bomb'n ANIMAL! If only my moto-skilzorz were up to taming that beastie.......

Next time, try to show a little restraint in the outer-wear, Mr. T. Something like this:

Looks like fun, ah, to ride again....that one shot with the hill over the left shoulder looks like the beginnings of Osborne Canyon...made me kind of tear up for a few.

Anyone want a Tuono?
That looks like fun |
Is it being sold here in the US? I hear not.
|
Aprilia USA says yes. Expect to see the Tuono in late 2011 as a 2012 model.

This bike looks like so much fun. Alas, this bike will not sell as we Americans continue to fixate on cruisers and some racer rep sport bikes and, in my view, miss the broad band essence and joy of motorcycling.
The race rep bikes in particular have gotten so narrow focus that they are really of no particular interest to me anymore. Perhaps I am just getting old, but this hot Italian hooligan twin sure perks up the interest. The Dorsoduro 1200 may not suffice as an only bike, but what an awesome "extra" bike. I want one to go alongside the FZ1 and, perhaps someday, a big Victory Cross Country bagger for longer range touring. Three street bikes and always until I die or am no longer able to ride it (whichever comes first) a dirt bike. Sounds like a worthy plan. Gotta figure a way to work a Triumph Triple in there somewhere too, darnit. :) |
Traction control won't let you wheelie? That's horrible.
