Nice writeup - I would love to have either of these Eye-talian Stallions. I continue to be amazed at the flatness of the power-curve on either bike - but am truly impressed by the linearity of the dyno plots on the 'Priller.
Fuel-injection truly is a marvel; impressive power-delivery while still meeting Euro III emissions. Carbs may (or may not!) give the same power - but never would accomplish this while meeting the emissions requirements and ridability that fuel-injection can provide. And they've done this with less than a decade of development.

The Aprilia will be cheaper to live with. Service costs should be much less than the Duc.
