Okay, I just bought an M50. Why? Because the gf wanted to go riding two-up and I wanted something with a low center of gravity that was easy to handle. Well, it seems I got what I wished for. I've only ridden it a couple days, but it feels like I'm riding a BRC (beginning rider's course) bike. I'm not all that young, but I might be a bit too young for a cruiser, at least this one; not much excitement. I'll keep it at least a year. Maybe it'll grow on me.
It came with a backrest, power commander, and very loud aftermarket exhaust. I've got the stock exhaust on it now (which is so quiet that it's the complete opposite), will sell that loud exhaust, and already have a different aftermarket exhaust being shipped to me. Also ordered engine guards and will have to order an aftermarket seat and some hard, lockable luggage. Zzzzz ![]() Good thing I have more than one bike! |

There are supposed to be pistons available that help the performance noticeably. Check the Suzuki Cruiser boards.

I had that problem years ago when my kids were babies. I bought a CB750 Nighthawk brand new for like $4k rode it for about 2 months and sold it for a used ZX1000R. The Nighthawk was just too tame.

M50s are cool enough little bikes. Kinda look like muscle bikes but reliable as can be. Congrats on the purchase.

Enjoy the time you have with the little lady. There will always be more time for other bikes.
