Whether we realize it or not we all are creating an identity for ourelves.Maybe in the near future I will be able to find a Mutistrada,VFR or Tiger that some poser bought, can't pay for and has to unload for whatever he can get.
Just riding a bike gives you an identity, but the question is is the identity a result of becoming a rider or do people seek to ride just for the identity? I'm afraid in the chopper case and too often the cruiser and sportbike guys it's the identity overshadowing the pure fun of the sport. Anyone who thinks they need to own a material object to prove themselves will only prove that they are losers. After all it's what people actually do that defines them not their appearance or what they own. To go by appearances alone for example one would at first think that sarnali is a 70IQ union thug. But after observing his behavior it becomes apparent that he is actually just a big 80IQ union meanie.

Or people usually think from appearances that AirHawk is a dumb@ss hillbilly who bays at the moon. Well.... in this case appearances are correct......

See? Appearances can be deceiving.

The acid test here will be whether or not sarnali2's new GS ever actually has its tires touch a dirt road. Frankly I've never seen a GS do so, though I know a small percentage of GS owners do go on dirt from seeing pictures of it. Though they could all be faked. This is why the GS is referred to as the Hummer of the bike world.
