Thumbs up

Wow! Only $500 more for fairing and 1 gallon more of gas?! If the fitment is anything like the Z1000, it would be hard to argue against this bike for sport-touring duty. All you'd need is heated grips and some soft bags. I like the nekkid styling of the Z1000 better, but the extra gas capacity of this Ninja 1000 puts this half a notch higher on the wish list.

(BTW, is it me or is Kawasaki actually listening to the consumers' feedback?)

Yup, Kawasaki must be listening to consumers. This bike would make for an excellent sport touring rig; emphasis on sport.

I'm also looking forward to the new W800 and hope it'll be coming stateside.

Pretty cool, Kawasaki seems to be on a roll here. I'll have to give the new and improved Connie a look see as well

THe new Z1000 will confuse the morons in the Insurance industry, but I do like the look.

I really hope that the w800 shows up. The pics sure look nice.

Missed it, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction. I am so liking these new budget-friendly bikes.

Thanks for the Suzuki link, Kevin. Okay then, a Ninja 1000 and new Bandit shootout it is. I'll be looking forward to it.

Sorry, Kawasaki says no W800 for the U.S.

Just rode the Ninja. It is exactly as expected. A Z1000 in fit and feel with Ninja bodywork.

Oh man, Jeff. That's not the news I wanted to hear about the W. Perhaps in 2012?
