I am surprised that they didn't bring the 660 or the TDM here.
The TDM is much closer to the VStrome then 1200 Tenere. The 1200 Tenere is going head to head with the BMW 1200 GS and the Multistrada.
Maybe Yamaha doesn't think that the 660 Tenere can complete with the KLR 650 and that the TDM can not compete with the VStrome and Versys?

Frankly I think that Twins, Triples, and Singles is the way to go today.
We have more than enough power today on street bikes. I know that people will disagree but the simple truth is that even 600s are so fast that nobody can ride one at even 50% of a bikes capability on the street and stay alive and out of jail.
Twins are cheaper to make. Look at the SVs, DLs, and Ninja 250s, 650, En-6 and Versys. All really nice fun to ride bikes.
I would love to see Yamaha bring the TDM900 here and maybe even a new TRX to the states. Come on folks bring back the twins.
