Stolen Moto - Washington State

A friend of mine had her HawkGT stolen yesterday (08/25/2010) while out riding with her Dad. Bike was stolen from Kanaskat-Palmer State Park, local cities nearby: Auburn, Black Diamond, Enumclaw, Maple Vally, North Bend.

In her Words:

Tonight she was stolen from me. While I was out RIDING her of all things! My first ride of the season (after putting her all back together). I took a half day at work to go ride with my dad. We stopped at the state park for 20-30 min to walk to the river and came back and some bastard couple (the park ranger got an ID, but no plate #) tossed her in the back of their pick up and rode off with her! A friggin man and woman in an older pick up.

YOU BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!

We missed them stealing it by about 5 minutes (cause we walked to check out another good potential fishing pool on the river). I swear to god I would have beat them silly with my helmet if I was there to see it being loaded!

They were speeding out of the park when the ranger saw them and signaled them to slow down, he pulled up next to them told them to slow way down and got a full ID. White guy with goatee, and a woman. He was on "light duty" from an injury otherwise he said he would have ticketed them (and got a plate) but he couldn't. He only got a partial on their plate, first and last number because their hitch was in the way.


They had a older 80's 90's white pickup that has "FORD" hand painted on it!!

That's got to be easier to spot!

No markings on tank, frame still has the little "Hawk" plate though.
Speedway blue tank (just painted two weeks ago , likely all scratched up now)
Polished frame sides
Polished single sided swingarm
Durban black-painted rear hugger fender
Underslung rear brake (Brembo, part of it has the gold paint filed off)
Custom water jet cut rear brake rotor (unique)
CFM Rearsets
Elongated kickstand freshly powdercoated black
Gino Chain roller (teal blue roller)
VRF 5 spoke (round) rear white rim, one of the spokes has a knick in it that
you can see
F2 white front wheel
Shiny black powdercoated fork lowers (I ground off the fender mounts b4 powdercoating so that is custom)
Totally custom, one of a kind subframe
Chain Reaction Moto dual underseat cans (Exhaust Systems - Chain Reaction Moto)
Right now it has an R1 seat strapped to the subframe (no rear cowl)
Polished triple tree with my polished secret stash bolt cover (will post more pics)
Woodcraft clipons (polished)
Bar end mirrors
Black ceramic coated 100% custom underseat exhaust pipes

I'll keep an eye out for the bike and the truck, though older white Ford pick-ups and white guys with goatees are pretty common around here. Your friends pretty sweet looking too actually....."You meet the nicest people" and so on...

Here's a quick update from Jo on the description of the truck:

I saw a truck on saturday when I went back to the area that fit almost
everything that was described, but sent the photos to the ranger and got a
reply today that it wasn't the same truck. Booo.. He did remember though,
that the truck had a king cab, not with cab doors but just windows, and
there was a bunch of crap back behind the seats he said. (the photo I sent
him triggered his memory of it apparently.

So, a white King Cab, early '90s, hand-lettered "Ford" on it, driven by a male or (large!) female tweeker.

I'm not holding-out a lot of hope it's in one piece right about now, but maybe it's parts have not yet been traded-off for a fat bag of weed or crank......

So, the ranger knew something was up but didn't bother to get the plate number. His next job will be approving your healthcare needs.

It was a scary looking 'couple' in a clapped out Ford pickup in a Park in Washington State.

One time on "Adam-12" they only had part of the license plate number and the color, make, and model of the car. They used a computer to figure out which car it really was. It was so cool.

No, it does not. But it does mean I've partied and swapped-lies and ridden motos with her at Rallies for about ten years now, and given input back and forth to one-another on Moto projects. Including the previous-iteration of this HawkGT.
