One more item from Jo to add to the pile of "evidence":

One last thing before I go that I thought was important.

Someone suggested that the only thing that could possibly pop up on eBay etc. that they think they
could sell would be the tank. (if they stripped off the blue).

Not so! My tank is unique as well. The sides were mashed in before, and so a
good friend of mine (not me; another friend! -'Hawk) worked on pulling them out by removing the bottom panel
of the tank. So now there are weld seams along the bottom!

Just FYI.

So, any of yous swap-meet-attendin' type of guys happen to see a HawkGT tank with that welded-pattern on the bottom of it (regardless of colour), I'd appreciate noting the Vendor and please PM me or email Jo at stolenbike1@hotmail.com .

Sorry to hear about your loss. Looks like you put a lot of work into that Honda, real pretty machine.

The last bike stolen from me was a new 1972 360MX Yamaha. I still feel the pain, and wonder where it ended up...

Of course no one wanted most of my other motorcycles, they were so ratsy. I even use to leave the keys in my olf KZ750 on purpose, no takers.

Go to the neighborhood where all the tweekers hang out, you might get a lead there (don't forget to pack some heat).

Good luck on getting it back, and that's not to be a snide way of saying it, I really hope you get it back unharmed.

Just got an email from a mutual friend about the status on Jo's HawkGT:

"Just got back in to cell range and got an amazing text!!!!! "She's home!!!" woooo hoooooo she was dumped two miles from the park and was hidden under some bushes!! She's a littled mangled but all there!!! ..... Sooo happy!!!!!!"

Many Thanks to all you PACNW MOFos that were keeping your eyes open for the perps - Ross told me that he saw a pic that shows the bike essentially intact, but with a dent across the right-side of the tank, right on the crease (ouch!).

I'm stoked she's got the bike back - she's out of town at the moment, but I'll post-up pics and a full story as they become available.

Get the fingerprint boys on that bike before you wash it, I'm sure some good prints can be lifted off the tank or bars. Track those a holes down and put 'em away.

They probably got nervous when the Ranger put some attention on them. Criminals are not noted for courage. If they weren't cowards they wouldn't be criminals.

Some criminals aren't cowards, they're just dishonest sociopaths. Take this one bank robber, he raced M8F Maclarens, Formula 5000 open wheel cars, 914 sixes, etc. stuck up some high value jewel aucitons, moon-walked out the entrance of gun shows with suitcases full of pistols, right past the police. Never got caught either. Died penniless in Hailey Idaho with a basement full of weed plants. We called him "Dad".

Well thats excellent news alright. The stupid a-holes probably realized how hard it would be to fence or part out such a unique bike. Glad she got it back

That is terrible news! Motorcycle thieves are a waste of space and if they are found should be beaten senseless.
