Victory makes quality bikes. My friend Mike has had two and they sound very tight, no weird clattering like you get from HDs. I just don't care for the swoopy Arlen Ness styling. However when you are done customizing one you still have a brobdingnagian pork barge. Unless you found a way to knock off 200lbs.

I think it looks good and going to the manufactures cataloge is a typical first approch when a new owner starts adding there own personel touch. So I feel it was a good first step in this project. The windshield I dont like, and I dont like the way the one looks on mine eather, but it makes a huge differance on the highway in the area of comfort. With out that 65mph+ pressure on you chest the seating position is actually comfortable, much more so then the 03 interceptor I use to own. I also like not having that after taste of bugs.

Good start, look forward to whats next.

Yeah, the windshield isn't super attractive, but it is really useful. The good part is that it can be easily detached for when cruising around town.

Bolting on bits from the factory catalog does not customizing make. I hope you guys had more in mind and this is just one step. You've seriously short changed yourself if not.

i own a 06 8 ball. it has never given me one bit of trouble. fast for a cruiser.at a bike night it made 90 RWHP. just a pipe and air filter kit.
no air cooled HD can do that without major engine work. even a SE 110 will not get 90 RWHP without mods.

Sorry, I jumpted the gun there. I'm just so tired of the same junk the factory has been forcing on Vic owners for the last 5 years. Nothing has changed. SlashNess pipes...check, flame stitched seat...check, teardrop mirrors...check.

There's just so much more out there that doesn't have the Ness name attached.

RPW makes a good 2-1 pipe. that and the S&S kit made a huge change. now i hit the rev limiter a lot cuzz the 8 ball has no TACH.
