They are stepping up fast, cool that I get another round of the ttxgp this year. Last I checked (month or so ago) there was no schedule for GP next weekend so this is a pleasant surprise. The loudest and the quietest in the same weekend. Is it next Friday yet?

Things are progressing at light speed for epower bikes it seems.

Yes, it's hard to believe that only a few weeks ago, people were saying that because of the inherent limitations of batteries, E-Bikes could never approach usable performance characteristics.

As of this writing, that is still yet to be proven. Much like that miracle-of-miracles, the Moto-CZYXXYLPLYXX Moto-GP bike that was going to "Change the World of Moto-GP FOREVER........."

Coming along nicely. It is all about the energy density of the batteries. Getting power out of electric motors is not an issue. The "KillaCycle" has plenty of power for sure. A123 is a leader in battery tech, they sponsored this wild 7.94 @ 169 mph in the quarter mile e-ride.

Given the "Instant ON" torque of electric bikes, it's not hard to imagine them challenging traditionally fueled bikes in the near future.

The guy's a Shyster that wishes he was half as clever as John Britten. There, I've said it.

On a different note, lots of cool stuff happening with electric power. Catepillar has a new dozer that has a smaller diesel engine than it's predecessor, running at contant optimal RPM to generate power for the electric motors, much like a locomotive. It is more fuel efficient, cleaner emission wise and higher performing than the model it replaces. It is not a hybrid - no batteries - and it costs more, but overall is cheaper to run after a few years. Neat stuff. |

The Killacycle has made the fastest (mph) and quickest (ET) ¼ mile pass ever made by any electric vehicle of any kind (7.824 s @ 168 mph, Pomona, November 2007).
I pre-ordered an Empulse today...but they're going to have to let me ride one before I fork out 10 large.
