is a gsxr etc faster in the canyon than say a new Z 1000. if a standard is light and powerful enough is a full on sport bike faster on a tight road in the mountains. the reason i am asking this is i am 63 years old and i never was much of a canyon carver.
my current bike is a 04 Z1000. it has 130 RWHP and wet i have the weight down to 440 lbs. i love this bike and do you think in the right hands it would give a race replica bike a run for its money. i love the comfort and riding position of my Z 1000. |

Which Rider?
Both bikes are faster everywhere than probably 99% of the people that ride them.

An Aprilia 250 may be faster than both in a canyon. Track school will make you faster regardless of the hp at issue. Both bikes have more than enough to launch you into space to the canyon bottom.

It's all in the braking zones. If your skeerd to late brake then drive off the corner is meaningless.
