Default What Type of Motorcycle Jacket you prefer?

Everyone have their own choice for wearing but I have a question that what type of motorcycle jacket you like most. A combination of Safety, Style and fitting makes a jacket perfect. Give me your ideas that what should be a jacket have?

I assume it depends on what type of Bike your riding. Not to many Harleys guys will wear what I perfer. The biggest thing I look for is a reputable protection, then style.

I wear an Alpinestar MX Jacket.

I do wear leathers because I have them, however if I were in the market to buy, you can get a lot more function and flexibility, lighter weight and waterproof from the newer materials out there.

Most leather is dictated by what you are riding, even when it comes to gloves.

I prefer my Aerostitch textile suit. It's roomy, warm, waterproof and has armor and the venting works well enough. The climate I live in is cool and rainy for the better part of the year so I think textile suits being more versatile are preferred.

I do however own 3 leather jackets and a pair of armored leather pants that I wore before I started using the textile suits. i also have a shredded textile jacket I keep as a reminder of what can happen, also another complete textile suit that my daughters wear when they ride with me. In addition to the suits I have a number of pairs of gloves in various stages of wear, an worn out armored textile pair, a shredded armored leather pair and a few worn out leather pairs. Also a pair of worn out deerskin and a pair of good deerskins, plus some insulated elkhide gauntlets........there's at least 5 or 6 helmets and a few pairs of dedicated riding boots, plus work boots that I wear to ride in.....

Like sarnali shows, if you ride motorycles for a while, you'll probably end up owning more than one helmet/jacket/pants/gloves. I have a leather jacket for colder weather, a mesh jacket for hot weather, and I just bought a Scorpion Hat Trick jacket because it has two liners, one for warmth, and one (breathable liner) for rain. My mesh jacket is great for the heat, but it doesn't keep the rain out. They have leather jackets that are waterproof, but they run around $1200, which is a bit "too rich for my blood".

All my jackets (and helmets) are yellow, for visibility (safety).

I have two jackets, a Triumph 'Acton' jacket for the cooler rides, and an almost worn out JR Phoenix (V1.0) for most of the year.

I have a JR Meteor (V3.0?) that I need to sell. I never wear it.

Pants, old JR Ballistic pants, and Lee Parks DeerTour gloves.

I have a blue trim AGV mesh jacket. Several women have mentioned that it looks nice. Best reason to keep a jacket I ever heard.
