I hate that "followed procedure" crap. They are the one who make up the procedure. Then they use THEIR procedure to excuse their incompetence and corruption.
Legalized and sanctioned corruption?

Great point, isnt that why most cops become cops though,..so they can feel like they have more powerthan the regular citizen. I hope this kid takes em to the cleaners.

A motorcycle cop chased me up a horse trail in Griffith Park on his Harley when I was a kid on my Jawa 90. He ate it and got his hog all dirty, along with his .38. I ran out of gas on the Bee Rock Route and he caught me (fianlly). Picked me up by the front of my shirt, and stuck the dirty police special in my face. We waited for about an hour for a car to come and take me away, but nobody showed up, so he wrote me a giant ticket. My leaners permit got pulled for a month on that one. hahhahah

Maybe the cop was just mad 'cause he has to drive around in that POS Chevy.

I wouldn't go that far. I don't think that most cops are mainly motivated by an excuse to bully people. But police forces have to be watched constantly or they go down this route. Civilian oversight is critical. The police agency in question here needs more a lot of that.

A certain judge needs to lose re-election. I'll bet that's the main reason his identity is kept hidden.

You should of seen all the cops at the last Adelanto GP. Sherrifs dept. types (you know, the guys who staff the county jail) giving everybody hard looks, even me (maybe my .380 was showing through the fanny pack).

Growing up in Los Angeles we learned to give the cops a lot of room, since the LAPD only had about 800 officers to cover over 2,000 square miles of LALA land, they had ultimate authority. Usually it was the "beat and release" program that got your attention. It was better than going to court I guess....and I was in the Rampart district too. The narks were the worst. Fat guys in polyester checked pants with tennis shoes. They would beat you down in a moments notice. Edison Medicine (Mag Lights).

My experience with the Fuzz has been generally positive, other than the obvious getting jacked in the first place. They've always been for the most part polite and professional while writing their tickets. The few exceptions were back in the old days before the "only doctors and lawyer on Harleys" when they would pull us over and pester us for no reason other than riding Harleys and looking like sh*t.

The only time they actually found anything was when my ex bro-in-law had a .380 in his pocket, they slammed me over the hood of a car, cuffed me and stuck a gun in my ear while they beat the sh*t out of poor Terry for "resisting"....they had to let me go because I wasn't carrying but they weren't too happy about. it.

We didn't really think anything of it though because that's the way it was back then, if you wanted to live the life then getting f*cked with by the pigs was part of the deal.

Had I been the rider & the (unmarked) car cut in front of me like that in still traffic, I would've gone around him, & split lane enough to where he couldn't caught me again. Maybe I would have 1 in the back for it, but no uniform, unmarked car, no badge in hand & a video to prove it all, retirement.

Can an unmarked car even pull you over? Some places they can't and other places you would be a fool to stop at all.

I would've felt "threatened" if an unmarked car with a plain clothes officer got out with a gun, especially not identifying himself with a badge or verbally, if I had a gun, may have reached for it part of why I don't, lol
