I'm a relatively new rider, still trying to gear up properly. I found a jacket, helmet & gloves without too many problems, but I've busted out so far finding pants & boots.
Any advice on finding good boots in size 15"? (I ordered some regular boots off zappos, but comparing them to those of others, they obviously lack a lot of protection.) Likewise, pants for someone with a 46" waist? Thanks in advance, -Bill |

I prefer textile (I live in Southern California), but as there doesn't seem to be much available, I'm open to whatever is available in my size.

Size 15? Do you shift with your foot on the passenger pegs?

At 6' and 265lbs I like the Tourmaster gear for the price. I have a pair of Icon boots that look like lug workboots that have little by way of money into them. I wear Alpinestar mesh summer gloves, too. I will gladly endorse ANYONE that will cover my fat ass. There's stuff. You just havenot found the right site. Start at the MotorcycleUSA superstore and then once you find things you like start searching the competitors for better deals.

Being size 15 myself I ride in a pair of steel toed redwings. 14 seems as large of a riding boot Ive found. Worst case Aerostich should be able to make some custom darien pants for you.

Dariens go up to size 46, they would probably custom make a larger pair or gusset a pair of 46's if you needed it

If you can't use it or eat it while riding then I suppose not. I've come to grips with my size and have no problem building a suspension that fits me. It's way easier than trying to fit my stock suspension.

You're gonna get a letter from the Dali Obama warning you about not being HWP.
