It was a Glorious Day here as well - I spent the afternoon bein' a Dam-bustin' Eco-Nazi.........

Well, mebbe not the Eco-Nazi part; but the Dam-bustin fer shur.

F'n Beaver.....

The "lake(s)" covered about 2-1/2 square miles, and was roughly 10'-deep just in front of dam. (well, in front of the big one) probably a median level of 3' overall.

You figure out how much F'n water that was.

I am tired, and mud-spattered, and pissed-off, with a funny, fishy taste in my mouth and a musky odour about me (Beaver "mark" their dams as they build them).

Now, to install my new receiver-hitch, and go the F-bomb to the house.

48 hours later and it's STILL raining. Farmers here are getting hosed, for sure. I drove past a farm today, on my way to the hospital, where the entire field was under water and the water had creeped all the way across the road.

Glad I don't live near a river here, because there is going to be some major flooding in the mid-Atlantic and northeast pretty soon!
