When I was in High School, a 100 or 150 cc bike was desireable. You were really hot shtuff if you had a 350. It wasn't until the CB750's arrived that the smaller bikes seemed...really small.

I doubt US buyers would go for this. The riders who'd be interested are buying scooters.

That's a cool bike - I probably would have killed (or at least severely maimed!) to have one of those when I was younger.

Manufacturers don't bring bikes like that to the US, because they claim they can't sell due to the fact that everyone is obsessed with the "Bigger is Better" mentality - but I believe it's just the opposite.

It's a LACK of smaller bikes, at a reasonable price - you can't sell a CBR600RR for only $500-more than a VTR250, and expect everyone to make the right choice every single time (or even most of the time!).

Honda is Infamous for doing precisely the above; then dropping perfectly-salable models because they languish on the salesfloors.

Ah, to have my old CB100 again...neat bike, it's what all the newbies should be learining on here in the USA, instead of a new Busa. Keep those organ doner places out of business.

Bring it to the US and I'll buy one right now.

141 mpg! I don't recall my 1974 Honda XL100 getting that kind of mileage. It did go pretty far on it's burnt orange shagadelic tankful of gas though.

Little bikes are the inviters into the sport. Any high school kid would do well to ride one of these. Sadly, overprotective parents want them in a 14 mpg SUV instead.

So glad my parents let me tool around on a little bike like this as a snot nosed kid. Thanks Mom & Dad!

Or when they DO stick 'em on a bike - it's some F'n 129hp Supersport "Starter" bike with a throttle like a lightswitch............

That would be perfect for my daughter to buzz around on. The Japanese are leaving a niche market wide open here, I'm sure the Chinese or Koreans will be happy to fill it before too long. I couldn't help reading that in an Indian accent though, I'm such an ass.....
