How many of you wear Knee/Shin Armor?
I was looking up statistics on motorcycle injuries, and the majority of them are to the legs. I'm not into the whole 1 piece leather thing for a daily ride, I'd prefer to wear a pair of kevlar reinforced heavy duty jeans. At draggin they make these with full CE armor insert for the knees, shins, and hips.... this sounds very practical.

Regardless, how many of you don a pair of leg armors to go under your riding pants? Which ones? Whats ur take on em? thanks. :D

A nice pair of armored Tourmaster mesh pants work great in the summer and I have a pair of armored Firstgear winter pants that are still holding up after 6 years. No other armor seems to be needed.

I wear full plate above the waist and chain mail below. The full plate legs got a bit heavy for me.

You can only pile on so much crap for street riding. If you have heavy duty jeans for "draggin jeans" type of pants, a heavy leather jacket or mesh with armor, helmet and decent're done as far as I'm concerned.

There's a point of diminishing returns with ATGATT where it's no fun to ride anymore.

I wear Joe Rocket Alter Egos over my regular jeans. For me it's as normal as wearing an armored riding jacket.

My hair gel & ink protect me plenty.

I wear my Aerostitch Darien jacket and pants half of the time. Between the knee pads on the pants and the shin pads on my Combat Touring boots I'm covered pretty well. A lot of times I just wear jeans and my work boots too so I don't get too worried about it.

I wear Fieldsheer overpants that have armor for the knees/shin. Unfortunately, owing to my simian proportions the knee armor ends up protecting my upper thigh. It got so uncomfortable that I took the knee armor out. Guess I'll have to go custom (Aerostitch?) at some point.

I wear amored pants when I remember, on the road anyway.

Off-road, I wear every piece of foam and plastic I can find.

I didn't know separate shin armor was available. I just wear good boots.
