I think the original expectations were from guys like me, who thought it would be cheap and easy to build one.

Now it sounds like it would be cheap and easy to build a "fun" bike, but not a competitive one.

I REALLY miss those old, sharp-as-a razor bikes. There were many such...the Montesa Impala, the Ossa Wildfire.

The Suzuki Hustler was the beginning of the end; motorcycles were never the same thereafter.
