This looks like a pretty neat bike, but I wonder if it's got enough torque and HP to make it interesting. What are the specs on it's engine Fonzie?

Actually, no, it doesn't have enough of either to be 'interesting', but that doesn't stop it selling over here in Britain. It's a modern-day version of BMW's old R80RT: stays at sixty-five all day, wonderfully comfortable, cheap to run, hard to break...but 'interesting', no.

10 grand? I'll pass. I love the the two-up picture of the 5'3" 130 lb guy and the 4'9" 88 lb girl on there. I doubt things would look the same if me, Sarnali, or 12er jumped on.

Honda has a farm where they grow models for each motorcycle and market segment. It's all hush-hush you know, gene-splicing, cloning, that sort of thing.

You mean the DN-01? Or as the dealers say: "Do Not Order 1!" I sat on one too, and it felt just like a waverunner, right down to the rearview mirrors. All it needs is a trigger throttle....

Thanks for the ride report. The NT700 sounds like a perfectly adequate motorcyle.
It is also probably perfect for the can't afford it times ahead for America and it's tattered dollar. Get used to it boys. The future is the NT700V. The future kinda sucks... |

I have to agree with you there, LR. Too often, Mfgs use photos of midgets... er... little people to emphasize how "spacious" the accomodations are.
