This would be my suggestion along with a crashbar, alot easier to mount aswell. Most use these on the cruisers here in Florida. Plus when you drop it the bars will save the tank. The 1300 is famous for having very tight ergos barends to your knees when at full lock. Specially for the tall guys/gals.

When I worked at the Harley dealership they very quickly told me to NEVER call them "crashbars." They are "engine guards."
