Just a quick announcement from me. I have been awarded US Patent#7621380 entitled "Motorcycle Rear-Wheel Braking System Operating Mechanism". I would like some feedback from you guys. You can just Google the info or you can go to the USPTO website to check it out.

Rear wheel brakes? What a concept! I have no idea how you thought of it!

We're too lazy to Google. Give us the link and ask Duke to test it- then we'll give you feed back.

I don't get it - by the description, you've "invented" the cable-operated left-hand brake. Like, exactly what virtually every scooter for the past 50 years has come equipped............
Cable-operated left-hand foot-replacement brake

Rear brakes are the tools of the Devil, by using them you show yourself to be a pawn of Satan. We're going to have to purify you Heretic, who's got some matches?.........

Maybe this guy invented a 'lay her down' switch for when things get REALLY hairy and you need to 'lay her down' of course!

Some bonehead pulled that manuever the other day, it was in the paper, "motorcyclist lays down motorcycle to avoid stopped traffic on rain soaked HWY167"...
Translation: Dipsh*t loads britches and hit's the ditch when traffic stops unexpectedly...........

Ok, I did the homework:
The invention is a two-finger lever that actuates the rear brake from the left handlebar. It is supplemental to and does not replace the rear brake pedal. The theory is that racers and other sporting types (Mokester?) find using the traditional foot pedal difficult or compromising in some situations. Thus, having an alternative brake up on the bars will give the rider an option. Traditionally the brake and clutch confusion would have precluded this guy's idea. He feels that his tiny lever (and the brake handle) present to threat of confusion. Eh...whatever.
