Same thing with the Roadrace team not getting the bikes until 3-4? races into the season this past year. Never seen that happen before, ever.

The kawasakis Battery is cooking should get the chance today, to through a leg over her. Feels very light and short.

Okay, I got the poop from Suzuki, the communications mgr and nat'l sales mgr.

-They claim Suzuki is quite healthy and point to financial reports that state profits.
- Back nearly a year, they were the first in the U.S. to announce cuts in production to match the current reduced demand.
- This has put them in a good position regarding dealer inventory and American Suzuki inventory.
- They will be making a model-by-model decision about which carryover models will be imported for 2010, reacting based on weekly and monthly market conditions.
- They say Suzuki has done better than most OEMs over the past three months.
-The new RMZ250 and RMX450 will arrive in Feb or March.
- There will be other new models announced for 2010.

Naturally, they will want to paint a pretty picture for Suzuki, but after my conversation with them, I don't believe the company is in any dire situation. They are being cautious, and, these days, who can blame them?

Now you've got ammo to dispell some of the hyperbolic rumors we've been hearing about Suzuki.

Thanks for that Duke. I just saw that Suzuki rumor on the MC grapevine. I had no idea if it was true. I doubt Suzuki is doing any worse than any other OEM these days. Things are tough out there.

Well, most of that is true. Suzuki isn't going to mindlessly import 2010 models if there is ample supply of '09s in dealers and its warehouse. The plan is to be reactionary to the market and limit a surplus of existing stock. It's a smart business plan unless a sudden spike in demand of certain models takes them by surprise.

Not sure about the readiness of a new DL1000, but it's possible.
