What farkles are attached, or were? Do you trust the sellers farkling skill if it was farkled? Most Beemers dont stay stock long. Does it have all options? ABS, cruise control etc? Piaa's? Stock seat? All things to consider. Just remember most will try and jack the price to get their add on investment back and assume they add to the value, most don't. Or they strip the bike before they sell, so see what it has / had and check the electrical system for electrical tape. Lastly if you do buy one, spend the $30 for the metal male end fuel line quick connect. (my default recommendation for any newer bmw rider after I had a fine mist of gas shooting out about a foot onto my right leg, shortly before the fuel line broke completely) Other than that, fine bike for a cross country run.

That's a cool bike. My pal Billy rebuilt one the same time I did my FXS. It was a hoot to ride, not much in the handling department, but plenty of punch off the line. On I-95 it always sounded like it was about to grenade, but it never did.

They're running around $7k on up around here, still too much in my opinion unless it's bone stock. Most of them are ******ed up patchwork patty's. Much as I love Shovelheads I'd probably try to find a Evo like an early 90's FXR

I saw one in Clearfield last year, an FLH Shovel with batwing for $5K. Needed a top end job but otherwise clean. 'Course I don't live in Lalaland.
