(urp)...a set of nice lumpy cams on that long stroke motor really sets them off, one of the few bikes that sounds best with drag pipes.....I always used to start my '78 with the garage door closed, a second or two of starter whine tham BRAAAAAP.. total wall of noise! I couldn't get enough! LOL Stupidest thing I ever did was sell that one..

The original Bandit 1200 motor was great. Oil-cooled count? That thing is bullet proof.

He's making non sequitur comments so he can spam his stupid DMV site all over the boards. Unless we start getting real live motorcycle content the hammer will be coming down soon.

I had a fleet of fast cars at one time, a '68 GTO with a 455 XO block and a '67 VW Beetle with a 2180cc motor, both had big cams (the GTO and the VW had Iskendarian cams with 300 degrees duration, 1/2 inch lift, big valves, moly pushrods, etc etc) and before I made the trek from Burbank to LAX every morning, I use to let 'em warm up in the driveway....rump...rump...rumpity rump...and since the VW had 14.1 compression it had to run on race gas, the smell was intoxicating.

Ahhh, fast cars, boats and bikes...and guns!

When I got out of the Nav I bought a Plymouth Fury cop car with a Hemi 440 Interceptor and 4160 Holly, pig cams, factory duels to which I added Cherry Bombs and a spot light... Aside from drinking gas that MoPar MoFo flat put the fear o' God in ya'...skinny bias tires and PNW cold wet roads are the things dreams are made of...a couple blunts and a quart o Mountain Stale Rainer Ale and we were set...some Nazareth or Lynyrd Skynyrd on the ol' cassette player, sawed off 12 gauge under the seat for insurance, chasin' them little Auburn High School hotties........ I'll tell ya', you young bucks don't know what you missed with your fart can Civics and Integra's....
