Did you notice the welds on the frame neck? Yuk!

The 250's are great in the woods - so nimble. Makes me reconsider the need for a 450.

A slightly larger capacity version of this bike, say 325cc, with a bigger tank and the usual off road accessories would be the perfect off serious offroad trailbike/racer.

I still prefer a light two stroke in the woods. Not PC, I know.

2 strokes rock. I have a trail ready '01 CR250 in the garage along with the midbore thumper. Why? Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. :D

Riding the CR down a steep rocky technical trail is like a sick fast paced video game. Gotta love it.

The two stroke demands a careful throttle hand and using appropriate revs for the situation as the two stroke is all to eager to rip onto the pipe and spin the tire in dry off road conditions, even with tall gearing. The CR off pipe still has more low end power than a 250 four stroke I rode.

Just to prove 2 strokes still live, here is the CR, in a pretty environment. It ran good in the cold air. Oh ya :)

That area is probably under 5 feet of snow now. We got there 3 weeks ago, on the edge of winter. It was jaw dropping.

For those who care, here is a slideshow, complete with music, of the festivities :)

Cool stuff there Duken. Snow is good. Also fun to crash in.
