Yeah, probably not. And I like the look of the 2007 model better. But I like the tech of the new model. Can't wait 'til they test it.

As a former owner of a '06 Z1000, and one that hated it's suspension, brakes and overall handling, I'm exited to see that Kawasaki got closer to building a true naked sport bike! Although my wish would have been for a TRUE naked ZX10, the 2010 Zed is much closer to the "real thing" than the lousy handling 2003 through 2007's.

If I can't get a CB1000R, I may be riding a Zed again, sometime in the future!

Can't wait see how it compares to the Duc Streetfighter and Monster!

I rode a mildly-massaged-suspendered '06 that belonged to a friend of mine's Wife - thing was a F'n FREIGHTRAIN. A Wheelie Machine that would probably destroy any hope of my continuing to hold a License in ANY State, were I to own one.............

The 06 Z1000 (or any of the other years,) were not terrible, but coming from a GSXR to a Z1000, it was either going to kill me or relegate me perpetually to last. My riding groups are all true sport bikes and I thought (being one of the faster riders) I'd be able to keep up on a lesser bike. NOT!!! I sold it and bought a CBR!

Oh, I didn't say I'd want to ride it daily, or even attempt to keep up with the "fast" group at a Moto-Rally - just that I could envision looking at life through a set of Bars were I to purchase one of 'em............
