Triumph stole that powerslide thing from the Honda Jake Zemke Valkyrie commercial about 8 yrs ago. Maybe it was a VTX commercial. Either way Zemke has the bike crossed up like a flattrack bike.

The Honda ad was on the Valk, if I recall correctly. But that was done in true flat-track style - on the dirt. And no wheelies!

The powerslide in the Triumph vid wasn't so much a powerslide as a rolling burnout while turning. Still farkin' cool, tho! Watch my Vmax vid for a true pavement powerslide!

Here is one sure customer come March/April 2010. Reserve one for me in a Matte Black with the Heated Grips if you would Mr. Bloor!

Where was I when all this went down? Oh, that's right! I was out riding my motorcycle on our annual motorcycle trip at the Dragon. Sorry I missed it the first time. Great post!!

Nice article, she's a monster. I Remember the first time I threw a leg over the R3 and was thinking, what a monstrosity this thing was going to be. The sidways motor would keep my mind opeaned so as not to be hasty and judgmental before the ride was over. Like someone said earlier as soon as you hit the throttle the weight gets swallowed by the power and doesnt feel as heavy.
