Hey guys, im looking to buy a gsxr, the one im currently looking at is a 2001 Gsxr600 with 33 000km (20500 miles) , i know its somewhat alot of miles, but how much will it run up to? and is it worth buying (first bike).

Yes, in other words you shouldn't get it. Read the new rider sticky. A GSX-R should *not* be a first bike. And take the MSF BRC if you haven't taken it already.

well im used to a gsxr 750, been riding it all summer, so thought id get one, and found a good deal on the gsxr 600. I was just asking about if the km (miles) are way to high, but i asked a few bikers and they said its not high at all... but thanks for the suggestions guys! lol

I'm coming up on 20k on my bike; it runs like new and has been extremely well maintained. I expect it to go 100k or more. But I've seen bikes with 10k that were whipped, done, beat to crap. Burnouts, wheelies, winding out every gear every time...it's all about the rider/owner. If the Busa was treated right it's got a lot of life left; that engine is a brick. But if it's been treated wrong, it'll be a money pit and spend all it's time in the shop.
