None of my Harleys ever blew up or stranded me. Hondas did though. I see thousands of Harley's touring through Utah each summer and don't recall seeing any parked on the side of the road. No one makes a bad bike any more so you can move forward from the 70's now.

And my buddies Dyna-glide easily outhandles those pigsticker Road Stars and V-Stars. It doesn't ground as easily.

No I'm afraid your little generality doesn't wash.

Failing of their Industry huh? Then why is Mv Agusta involved with Harley now? Whats that about? Hey Iam not arguing the fact that they are look-a likes? Japanese culture as a whole, copies things to make them better. And that they have done. As far as reliability I can only go off what I'v seen and heard. As far as power stock to stock Harley will always lose that battle. You call them pigstickers, you sound like someone who believes the weights manufactures post? Have you ever even rode a Full dress Strat? It feels much lighter than a Dyna??? And has twice as much power? Talk about needing to move forward.

BAM! Finally someone with some credibility.

Buz is such an arrogant prick that I just knew he'd be buying a BMW so he could look down his nose at everyone. He even has the Toyota Tundra to haul it around in thus earning the coveted Double Snob Award. Oh yeah and he lives in SoCal which gives him a threefer.

But, I really think that your new friend should be calling you "Mr Butthole". You are moderator, after all and deserve some respect. I'm sure there's some respect laying around here somewhere.

BTW Mr Butthole, did you ride the Bandit today?

Dude, you are blowing my cover. Shhhh! I'm a 'Harley Guy' and an either a 'new rider' or a 'poser'. I certainly don't have enough experience or knowledge to match a wiz like him. The only Bandit I know is the one that got paid to teach MOKE how to spell. Otherwise I'm just a clueless Harley guy that rides unreliable junk.

I'm not your friend and I've never heard of you. I have had nothing to do with Harleys ever.

Sincerely,

buzglyd

Catchy, BMW-ish name, isn't it?

Ha! If anyone has made fun of posted weights it's me. And the Japanese have consistently been the worst offenders. At least they recently started doing curb weights now instead of those fantasy dry weights.

As I said the Japanese themselves have expressed the concern about their industry. Argue with them.

I move forward by not owning any 700+ pound low output thingamajigs. Arguing about cruiser performance is like arguing which snail will cross the finish line first. If they want "performance" why would they buy a cruiser? 80hp instead of 68hp! Woohoo! Stop the presses!

Performance? Buy a Street Triple fer crissakes! An SV650! Do cruiser owners who argue incessantly about their horsepower stats realize how ridiculous it sounds?

This is a record here MOrons....like seven pages of responses after one snotty remark of mine about putting Harleys in Yamastar ads......

I deserve a medal or gold plated Trolling Rod or something..........

Anyway, Harleys Best F*ck the Rest, from the very first Virago's to whatever this Yamaturd is they're nothing but Japanese imitations. The closest thing the Japanes have to a "heritage" of their own is the in line four, and they coppied that from Benelli.

Bikes like the original Venture touring bike, Gold Wing, Kawi Voyager, and Susi Cavalcade showed some innovation and along with the VFR and Ninja set the mark. Now they're reduced to copying Harleys down to the batwing fairing and rear fender struts. Call them what you want, they're typical Jap cookie cutters and I wouldn't take one for free. If I didn't have a Harley I'd go back to riding Bandits or FZ1's or go total snob and buy another Beemer.

I'll pass on the Tundra though, just another Jap sh*t box.
