I love Honda motorcycles, but their pricing mostly makes no sense (CBR's being the exception, since their prices are in line with the other Japanese sportbikes). For 2010, Honda has the Shadow 750 in black, finally with fuel injection, but it's priced at $7,999. The Harley 883 Iron is listed at $7,899. That's $100 *less* than the Honda. And the NT700V is $9,999? While a V-Strom 650 is $7,499 and a V-Strom 1000 is $9,799. So .. a V-Strom 1000 is $200 *less* than a comparable Honda with a 680cc motor? Where's the logic in that? (That's a rhetorical question.)

Wow. You make a logical and compelling argument. At first, I was thinking it was about time Honda brought this bike to the US. After reading your post, it reminded me that Honda (who once was the leader) is no longer in touch with motorcycling reality.

I used to love the Honda brand. Nearly every car I owned was a Honda. This year, I bought a (*gasp*) Ford, because I wasn't feeling in touch with what Honda was producing. Your experience may vary.

You're such a stickler for Detail - I thought you should be fore-armed with all the (correct!) info.

I've got to admit, if nothing else, I'm quite impressed with the stir that this has caused. Now if only Buell.....

Honda needs a 1200cc or better VFR. Make it with hard bags, cruise, and all the trimmings for about 10 large and I'm there.
