Default V65 Magna vins year 1985

I'm looking at a 1985 V65 Magna and I'm wondering about the vin. The bike ony has less than 14k miles and is in good condition. The Vin starts out as 1HFSC1215F, IN DOING A LITLE RESEARCH it seemsas though this might be a Caliorna bike, I'm in WI. Color is Blue which is not factory, it looks like the Blue from a 1993 750 Nighthawk, 1 year only for the 750 hawk. Any help or info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks T.

Actually- they do make a blue v65- I've got a customer that owns a pristine version with less than 12k on it. The vin structure is right. This bike was produced on the same assembly line in OH that the Goldwing is made in. As for it being a Cali bike- there should actually be a stamp on the frame & the 1215 part of the vin should reveal that.
Blue is right and the vin is American. If you get to test ride it you'll want to do a hard, high rmp shift from 1st to 2nd. If it doesn't stick the shift dog is bent. You'll be cracking open the motor to fix that. The bike should be in the $2200-$2500 area if it's reeeeeaaaaalllll clean.

Not just the fork but the gears will have worn dogs and need to be replaced.
