Other than the typically overpriced exhaust compared to the performance gained(or lost), I do not like the loudness usually accompanied by it. Not to mention the time and expence required to get the proper tuning for the motorcycle to run correctly.

Yeah what he said, not worth the money and too loud for my taste. Most modern bikes come stock with properly tuned and balanced exhaust systems that look good on the bike. Why on earth would you want to go through the hassle of re-inventing the wheel so to speak to get an aftermarket exhaust to work as good as the factory one.

Plus I leave for work prior to 0500 so I have no wish to make my bike louder at the risk of aggravating my neighbors for a negligable performance gain.

I'm out the door no later than 0630 also. I have no intentions of pissing off the neighbors.

Why would anyone decide to buy an exhaust before the motorcycle? That's like buying a bunch of panties and stockings from Victoria's Secret before you have a girlfriend.

I don't have to worry about that. My neighbors already hate me. I just need to go camp out at Buz's house so his neighbors will hate him too.
