Imagine the adventures you will have getting parts for your Benelli. In New York City even, don't even think about Montana. Of course I ride Kawasaki's and haven't needed a part to make it run or roll in 130K miles.

Wow! Not even brake pads or oil filters! I want me one of them!

I want to know where I can find some of them tires that are good for 130K miles, KPaul!

Still no report on the fuel mileage on the Benelli? I read or heard somewhere that they have horrible mileage. The Triumph should be okay. I get about 45 mpg with a Sprint ST.

Great Choice

Very glad to see these two bikes in comparison. Not only was this review well done it covered all the questions I had and some I didn't. MO has become my favourite source for motorcycle information. You are beating the print mags both in content and creativity. Now there are two more bikes I would like to own. I greatly appreciate the opinions expressed in these reviews.

+1 I have liked this generation Tiger since it came out. I'm not going off-roading on one of these beasts anyway, but welcome the occasional dirt road or low water crossing.

I love, love, LOVE my '03 Sprint ST.

However, if I didn't have that, I'd be on a 1050 Tiger!

They are extremely comfy, and they sing the same sweet Triple song.

However (like all Triumphs, it seems), the suspension is WAY soft. If you are anything over 185, you'll be wanting stiffer springs.

I much prefer the bags on my '03 over the new version. I'd probably look at either Givi or Shad products if I were to buy a Tiger.

When I was in High School I worked in a gas station/repair shop. There was a KSC guy who'd come in with his '72 Pinto. We weren't allowed to touch it except to pour a small can of Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas tank before filling. He claimed the car had no work done in over 50k miles, which was a lifetime back then. But you do have to wonder about the brake pads...
