Greetings all. I'm looking for a light comfortable helmet for cruising around town. The shorty helmets are ok but they blow around too much.
I'm thinking about this Advanced Carbon Composites DOT Helmets What do y'all think? Thanks, John |

I think it is just another cheap attempt at marketing a really stupid product.

I suppose they are as good as any of the other DNA sample protectors.
Looks like the same 'beanies' that've been available for years. I used an older one (not the jockey-looking one) for a dog dish. I had it set in a lawn sprinkler donut. All that being said, I really hope you weren't congratulating yourself for being clever with the 'I'm really thinking about getting one of these! What do you folks think?" gambit. In the remote chance you are serious; GET SERIOUS! Those helmets are pretty much useless. Sure, they'll give your skull some slide protection, but little to no impact protection, and they do not protect your face (or jaw) at all. And, they mess up your hair just as much as a 'real' helmet does.

A great idea that will do wonders for the income streams of cosmetic/reconstructive surgeons.

Yeah, but they had the LSD font and drug innuendos and everything! So what if it's the same stupid crap they've been selling in every other Bike Week booth for decades?
