Two races ago Nick got a new frame designed for him not Casey. Things went ok. Last week Nick has the frame but the shock and Swingarm used previously is not available because they couldn't get the shock right. They raced the new frame and old shock/swingarm at Assen.
Nick managed 8th with a clip-on that was rotating in its own bracket. If Nick can knock off a half a second at Laguna he will he'll be in the top 6 on the grid. That's progress. Not fast progress, but far better than where he started the season. If he can keep the Duc in the top 6 for the rest of the season Ducati will go into next season smiling.

So what happened to Stoner? I was sort of watching and I saw him dicing it up with that little Italian twerp at the front. Then suddenly he was gone...

i think this must be the frustration of riding that carbon fibre chassis. they still haven't figured out that flex coefficient yet.
