Default Difference in a Ducati 1098 and 1098R

Hi, can anyone tell me how you can tell the difference between a 1098 and 1098R by looking at them? And what makes them so different?

Just a guess, but the 'R' probably costs a LOT more.

It's got a couple of more horses, a bit more grunt, weighs 13lbs less and has half as many spokes on the wheels.

And, I don't think you can get the "comfort package" (apehangers and sheepskin seat) for the 'R'.
