Total newbie here. I do not know much about bikes. I've ridden few different friends bikes but i'm still a beginner.
I'm looking into getting a bike. I've seen on occasion bikes on the street that i would describe as sport street bike, but they looked much more compact, narrower and smaller that what i would not describe as the standard street bike (and no, it wasn't a scooter), the "normal" street bikes are just too much of a beasts. If anyone knows what i'm talking about, is there a specific name to those? What manufacturer/model should i look for? • i would like engine up to 500cc (600cc max) • exhaust-pipe that's NOT sticking on one side of the bike • i like and seen some exhaust pipes "integrated" running under the rear fender or maybe even from the engine closer to the ground ? • i would like used bike, probably not more then $4000 What should i look for ? Appreciate your advice. |

See the Go Devil post in ride storys. Any bike that can go up Fargo street with two people, and still fold into a suitcase is the new way!

Hell, those Literbikes will fold up into a suitcase. You just gotta first ride 'em like you have a complete and utter disregard for your own life and those of every Man, Woman, and Child on the face of the Planet, then point it at something immovable. You know - like the typical 17-year-old owners of them.............

Suzuki has a brand new model this year, the TU250X. This bike is a great alternative to the standard "Ninja 250 starter bike" answer for the new riders.
300 lbs, 30" seat hight, goes highway speed all day long getting over 50 mpg, and costs less than $4k OTD, brand spanking new. And, it's a damn good looking bike; it has a retro-70's look that is really cool. Suzuki Cycles - Product Lines - Cycles - Products - TU250X - 2009 - TU250X

i looked as well on the Kawasaki Ninja 250. Looks pretty narrow and more lightweight. The only thing that i would like to see different is the exhaust integrated under the rear fender or coming down right of the engine.
i don't like to have the big exhaust pipe on one side. Is there any benefit in this? Better mileage, quieter or ? |
