With Victory you can get a jump start on the customization straight from the factory. So less parts to throw away, less painting etc. If I ever turned to the dark side I'd consider a victory. Though dont see that happening anytime soon unless I suddenly lose half a foot in height.

Well, I think that Victorys are a very quality product. They don't rattle like HDs do. But I simply don't like Arlen Ness styling. They look like something out of a bad orange sunshine trip. I'd prefer Victory did a retro Indian styling exercise like Kwacker did with the Drifter. Less chrome, more black paint, fully valenced fenders.

Not that I'd spend that kind of money on it. It'd be high on the list of bikes I'll never buy, though.

Vics are significantly cheaper than a comparable H-D, especially when considering OTD prices. And they also have more powerful models.

If you're idea of a great bike is a Harley, it's worth checking out a Victory. I've ridden several (not at once...) alongside Harleys for comparison tests over the years, and they have a lot to offer.

See now when they do strike out on their own like the Vision they get slammed for that too.... double standard at play here???

Like I said, I like them myself, I just like HD better. If I didn't ride a Harley I'd get a BMW and load up on the KY I guess..but the Vison is a decent touring bike from what I can see and definately eyecatching.

No double standard. Just don't make a bike that is horrifically ugly from every conceivable angle. They did.
