When I was getting into bikes, spokes were only for dirtbikes. I like my retro bikes to have a touch of modern in them. I don't want a copy of an old bike, I want an homage. If I wasn't such a disaster wielding tools, I'd strip the fairing off of my 600 Bandit, throw on some clip-ons, chrome the tank and have me a modern cafe bike. Cast wheels and all. Eat that, grandpa.

I look forward to seeing one in person someday. Until then, I think Guzzis are a myth, like the Loch Ness Monster or Kpaul's entire life.

I sat on one in Upstate, north of I-90, New York in February. I think it's North Country... Whitesboro, NY near Utica.

"You need to be a historian to fully understand all of Moto Guzzi’s past glories. Moto Guzzi’s V7 Sport made a big impact in the early 1970s and could claim to be the first mass produced motorcycle to reach 200km/h (124 mph)."
I wouldn't tell that to any 1970 H1 500 Kawasaki rider (who isn't planted that is). Nothing like 68 horsepower in a bicycle-like frame to make mucho top-endo.
