I sat on one of these at the International Motorcycle Show in DC, After spending a day hopping from bike to bike I have to give the Gladius the award for most uncomfortable seat. Maybe it was designed for a smaller person - I'm a thin, tall tall male.

Looks like another hit for Suzuki!
I'll withhold judgement on its looks until I see one in person. And, this one has 'buns', but not 'hoops'. Darn, but I just can't figure out the moto-journo-speak thing...

Yet another motorcycle with a SMALLER fuel tank. Love the SV's but this one cannot be a touring bike or any long distance for that matter.

Hope it looks better in person than it does on my laptop....i prefer the cleaner lines of the SV.

Not bad looking, I suppose the SV1000 version will be called the Spatha to be historically accurate and in line with Suzuki's naming their bikes after swords and..um... birds.. (ahem)...

I did some quick image editing to see what you could do to make it a little less "girly". I think it's maybe a little too curvy. I removed the clunky taillight assembly, grab handle and mirrors, swapped the exhaust for an R6ish can and slapped some speed triple headlights on it. oh, and removed those questionable radiator guards.
Not sure if attachment tool is working so here's a link: http://www.treatspetresort.com/mts/suz.jpg |

Did you ask why it had to have a name? Couldn't you just get by with Suzuki SFV? Gladius sounds sooooo..............

Great review Pete To me it looks like Buz's old MV Brutale which is a good thing. Suzuki got another great bike to sell. Honda where are you?
